AI…Doesn’t this word sound familiar to you?
Artificial Intelligence or AI is somewhat commonplace these days with recent technological prowess contributing to its ubiquity in the modern world.
AI is all around us in today’s world. People have embraced this technology to include it in various aspects of their daily life. Big businesses have created models that revolve around this tech; from using AI to understand customer choices to use it to deliver their desired products to their doorstep, business-like e-commerce that use AI heavily in their business operations have profited a great deal in recent times. Not only has it made it easier for consumers to make better-informed choices but also, it has bridged the gap between retailers and their customers.
However, there are many other purposes for which AI being used. Some of these are downright creative and seem to be a step in the right direction to make the use of Artificial Intelligence more diverse and accessible to a broader section of society.

Wait, so AI has made its presence felt here too? The answer to this question is a big resounding yes. This goes right from creating lyrics to music that have become best-selling songs to platforms like Spotify where data regarding user’s choice of music, like genre, artist, language etc. is fed to an artificial intelligence system that will discern what kind of recommendations to make.
AI FOR ORAL HYGIENE:
There are so many problems like tooth sensitivity, gum decay, periodontal disease etc. which can be diagnosed and detected at early phases using AI tools. There is currently a platform called Logy.AI in India which is used to cater to anyone who chooses to contact them through their WhatsApp number; all that they have to do is send images of their teeth and will get results in two minutes about their basic oral health, without even installing an app. This step in a good direction for oral health of general public. Oral-B, a company specializing in oral hygiene products has released a toothbrush based on AI which helps make brushing more effective and guides you to focus on the problem areas.
AI IN FOOD AND CULINARY WORLD:
AI has been put to good use to ensure hygiene of personnel preparing food so that best quality standards are maintained by the time food is placed on the customer’s table. AI is also used to innovate and create myriad flavors to engage our palate in a unique flavor sojourn. IBM has created Chef Watson, an AI tool with access to variety of flavor profiles that it will use to create recipes.
AI IN EDUCATION: Did you know that most of the SOP’s (Statement of Purpose) written by students to gain admission to colleges abroad are processed not by humans but by AI-powered agents that will sort out and filter the best essays before they find their way to relevant authorities?? AI can help get a deeper knowledge of a candidate’s grasp of grammar, language skills, vocabulary, etc.
